Fundraisers from Guilsborough Music and Drama Society presented a vital piece of equipment to the oncology department at Northampton General Hospital.
Last year the society raised £600 by staging a special performance of Hay Fever by Noel Coward and holding a cocktail gala night and raffle.

The money has been used by the hospital to purchase a suction pump, which will allow staff in the unit to give chemotherapy treatment in an additional area of the department.

Dr Craig Macmillan, NGH consultant clinical oncologist, said: "This is an absolutely essential piece of equipment to have in a clinical area where chemotherapy is given, and we would like to express our sincere thanks to the society for their kind donation."
