Dancing and judo for kids during half term holidays

Cheerleading, dancing and judo sessions are among the new list of activities available to youngsters this half term.
Northampton Borough Council has announced the list of events and classes which are being run by its sports and play development team between Monday, February 15 and Friday, February 19.

On Wednesday, February 17 and Thursday, February 18, young people can pick up a pom-pom and learn how to cheerlead at Kingsthorpe College. The sessions are being held between 10am and 11.30am at a cost of £10 for both days. On the same days children interested in martial arts can attend judo sessions at Kingsthorpe College priced £10 for two sessions between 1pm and 2.30pm.

Dance activities, being held in association with Starlight Musical Theatre and Dance School at Headlands United Reformed Church, will take place every day of half term between 10am and 11.30am. It costs £5 per day or £20 for all five sessions.

Cheerleading and judo are suitable for children between eight and 13, dancing for those between six and 13. For details call Northampton 837 774.
