The best entries for the Chronicle & Echo's Postcards in the Park competition have now gone on display at Northampton's Guildhall.
More than 50 of the best images were selected for the exhibition, which shows pictures from all five categories of the competition: Photoshop, people, close-ups, dawn and dusk, and seasons.

The exhibition runs until September 11 and admission is free. It is being held in a glass-fronted corridor opposite the One Stop Shop.

Meanwhile, the final winner of the competition has been awarded his prize.

Paul Hughes, a photograph retoucher from Gresham Drive, West Hunsbury, Northampton, was presented with his framed photograph and £25 Jessops voucher on Monday.

The 31-year-old said he was delighted to have won the prize and that he would be spending his winnings on camera-cleaning equipment.

He added: "Really, though, I just wanted to be part of the exhibition."

Environment reporter Alex Valk, who organised the competition, is appealing for feedback on the coverage and exhibition. Anyone who would like to have their say on this year's contest can email her at alex.valk@ northantsnews.co.uk
