Armed police were called to a travellers' site in Northamptonshire following reports of a fight involving up to 50 people.
A report of a fight at Justin Park near Great Oxendon between 40 and 50 people was reported to police at about 3.20pm yesterday, with three people taken to Kettering Gerneral Hospital.

About 20 police officers, including some armed police, were seen at the Justin Park site on Northampton Road just after 4pm.

A spokeswoman for Northamptonshire Police said a resident at the site called the police and reported that a gun had been fired.

But she said when officers attended they found no evidence of firearms.

The spokeswoman said the injuries suffered to the men were 'minor lacerations' and that a weapon such as a knuckle duster was likely to have been used.

No arrests have yet been made and investigations are continuing.
