Police are appealing for information after a series of car-key burglaries in and around Northampton.
In the first incident at a property in Abington Avenue, Northampton, in the early hours of Tuesday, offenders forced open a front window before using an instrument to grab the keys to an Audi A5 and a Land Rover Discovery.

They took the cars from
the driveway, although both vehicles have since been recovered.

In Brafield on the Green, offenders forced their way into a conservatory before stealing the keys to a black Alfa Romeo, which they subsequently took along with a flatscreen TV and some handbags.

This incident took place at 3.15am on Wednesday.

And between 1am and 7.30am on Wednesday, offenders entered a property in Cherry Blossom Close, Northampton, through an insecure door.

They stole a silver Vauxhall Astra with the keys. Detectives believe this vehicle was then used in the burglary at Brafield on the Green.

Inspector Jeff Winfield said: "We would like to remind people to always leave their keys in places where they cannot be seen.

"And I cannot stress enough just how important it is to make sure your homes and vehicles are secure at all times of the day and night."

Anyone with any information can contact Northamptonshire Police on 08453 700700.
