Unique wine on tap van signs up for Northampton food festival over bank holiday weekend

"It's a no brainer" says owner of 1979 van believed to be the first of its kind in the UK

The first specialist truck to sell wine on tap in the UK is coming to Northampton for the Bank Holiday weekend as part of the Food Festival at the Waterside.

The festival runs from April 30 - May 3 from 11am with customer parking at Car Park 4, NN4 8RR.

Founder Louisa is encouraging customers to buy glass bottles to re-fill over the Bank Holiday weekend.

"The 1979 van is fitted with six taps which serve wine sourced from ethical and sustainable wine makers across the world. Red, white, pink, fizzy and even orange wine. It serves them all.

Wine on tap is the green way to serve wine.

"As an Earth conscious company, it's a no brainer. Serving wine on tap reduces the carbon footprint of the wine and also means there's no wasted product.

"Customers can visit the van on the Friday and buy a re-fillable bottle of a wine. They can return across the weekend with the same glass bottle to refill it," Louisa said.
