Burger and fries chain Five Guys tops poll as favourite restaurant to move into Northampton

A number of restaurants, wine bars and cafes have shown interest in moving into the town centre as part of the Scheme 2 redevelopment of the former Greyfriars bus station site.

We asked Chron readers which chain they would like to see the most move onto the site, with popular burger chain Five Guys topping the poll with 30% of the vote.

Turtle Bay was the second favourite choice, while Las Iguanas came in third place.

Currently the nearest Five Guys restaurants are in Milton Keynes and Leicester.

The chain has a simple menu of burger, hot dogs, fries and sandwiches with a variety of different toppings, buns, cheese and patties to choose from.
