Briony Cox scored the only goal as Kettering Town ensured their trip down the A43 was a fruitful one.
There was little to choose between the sides, and it was still goalless at half-time.

Cox then popped up to score a second-half winner for the Poppies, sending their travelling support into raptures.

Towcester were also able to hold their heads high after a battling performance.
