Tottenham outcast Hossam Ghaly says he is ready to drop down a level to start playing again.
The Egyptian international, who upset Spurs fans by ripping off his shirt after being substituted 18 months ago, had a loan spell with Derby County but Rams gave up on signing the player when he insisted he was too good for the Championship.

Now, though, the midfielder says he's willing to drop down a level again in order to get his career back on track.

Ghaly showed what he can do during the 3-2 reserve defeat by Portsmouth last night but feels he will still be unable to break into the first team.

He said: "Spurs have a lot of very, very good players and have a great manager in Juande Ramos. I am sure that results will soon improve.

"I am back in full training and my fitness levels are good. I just want the opportunity to play football and to remind people what I am good at.

"I have no ill feeling towards the club, but I will not play here, so I need to move on.

"I am prepared to go on loan in the Championship - it's not a problem."
