Tottenham midfielder Luka Modric is hoping his Croatia manager Slaven Bilic will snub West Ham and stay with the national team.
Former Hammer Bilic is among the favourites for the vacant managerial post at Upton Park, with speculation he may even combine the two posts.

Modric and fellow Spur Vedran Corluka got their international break in Bilic's under-21 side and Modric said: "Slaven is a phenomenal human being. A great man and great person first, then a winning manager.

"We've been with him since the under-21 team and are all ready to do anything for him in order to win for Croatia.

"I wouldn't like him to leave Croatia but Slaven will decide.

"He said he will stay until the World Cup, after that who knows? But everyone would like him to stay."
