League One: Ward backing Leeds for Wembley glory

Carlise manager John Ward saw his club dumped out of the play-offs by comeback kings Leeds United - and then wished the Elland Road club all the best in the final.
Leeds fought back from 2-0 down in the home leg to triumph 3-2 in the tie with a deserved victory at Brunton Park.

Gary McAllister's side, deducted 15 points by thr Football League for breaking competition rules on insolvency are 90 minutes from a return to the second tier of English football.

And Ward says the way Leeds played last night was impressive.

"We didn't play as well as we did on Monday, but that's sport," says Ward.

"Leeds did very well and I wish them well in the final.

"Gary had looked at it, made some tactical changes and I've got to give them credit for that."
