Boss Sean O'Driscoll warned his Doncaster side it was only "a job half done" after they secured their place in the play-off final with a 5-1 victory over Southend.
And he said the Elland Road club would be favourites to win at Wembley and return to the Coca-Cola Championship at the first attempt.
When asked if Leeds will be the more fancied side, O'Driscoll said: "Yes, I suppose so. But it depends what Leeds do.
"I don't suppose Gary McAllister will put that message to his players, he's too good a manager to do that.
"We're both going to be prepared and we've both got our foot in the door of playing in the Championship.
"One of us is going to go through. But we'll try and do our best to make sure it's going to be us.
"It's a Yorkshire derby so it will be a good occasion for everybody. We want to win it."
