Bradley Johnson could be pressed into action as left-back for Leeds United in their big play-off semi-final first leg clash with Carlisle.

The former Northampton Town midfielder, who switched to Elland Road during the January transfer window, is lined up for the left-back slot because the regular for that position, Alan Sheehan, is suspended.

Johnson has proved a popular signing at Leeds, and has been a regular in manager Gary McAllister's team, which claimed a play-off spot despite their 15 point handicap.

He played in the position for Leeds in their final home of the regular season against Gillingham.

Leeds hope to welcome back top scorer Jermaine Beckford, who returned to training on Thursday after an ankle injury and may return to lead the attack.

Meanwhile, Carlisle's David Raven serves the final game of his three-match suspension.

Fellow defender Danny Livesey is available after serving a one-match ban.
