Here are the Coca-Cola Championship stories making the news headlines.
Burnley: Cole 'no' to new contract
Andy Cole has failed to agree terms to stay at the club.

The ex-England forward scored six goals in 13 appearances in a three-month loan spell with the Clarets from Sunderland and had expressed
a desire to join Burnley on a permanent basis after his release by the Black Cats this month.

"We loved working with him but he had a decision to make and he's made it. The bottom line is the deal isn't suitable to him," said Clarets boss Owen Coyle.

Wolves: McCarthy in for Jones?
Midfielder David Jones could be on his way to Wolverhampton Wanderers, according to reports.

Derby are said to be prepared to sell the 23-year-old, but want to recoup the £1m they paid Manchester United in 2007.

Jones scored seven goals in 47 games in two seasons for the Rams.

Stoke City: Pitch to be made smaller?
Stoke City could make their pitch smaller next season as they prepare for life in the Premier League.

The playing surface will be relayed to install a new irrigation system and, at the same time, the pitch could be made shorter and narrower.

Manager Tony Pulis said: "Shortening it, narrowing it, growing the grass a bit longer, I've had it all thrown at me. It's important that we make the Britannia Stadium a fortress."

Charlton: Pardew lets Sankofa go

Osei Sankofa, who had been with the club for almost a decade signing joining as a 14-year-old schoolboy, has been released.

He has made only 19 appearances in six seasons, and ended last season on loan at League Two Brentford.

Manager Alan Pardew said: "We both felt that it was time that Osei got first-team football."
