Tottenham head coach Juande Ramos is backing Frazier Campbell to fill the gap at White Hart Lane left by the departure of Dimitar Berbatov and Robbie Keane.
The strike duo were instrumental in winning the Carling Cup, but they have since left for Manchester United and Liverpool respectively.
Roman Pavlyuchenko has been bought from Spartak Moscow, but Ramos says he wants to utilise the speed and power of Campbell, who switched to Tottenham as part of the deal that took Berbatov to United on Monday.
"Fraizer Campbell brings us pace, power and he's a very good goalscorer," Ramos said.
"He has a good workrate and is a handful for defenders, not for the same reasons as Roman, but because of his lightning pace.
"On top of that, he's a natural goalscorer as we saw last season during his time on loan at Hull City.
"When you've got the ability, it gives you self-belief, and that's what he's got."
