Details of the Film Northants 2009 contest will be announced in the next few weeks.
Due to the success of last years' pilot competition the Northampton Chronicle & Echo will be co-ordinating the event again in conjunction with Vue Cinema.
This year will see a longer entry period and a series of short film categories will be introduced.
In 2008 the contest was won by three-minute horror flick Confined.
