FORMER singer Shane Lynch will be among the main attractions at the UK Truck Show at Santa Pod Raceway, near Podington, on Saturday, July 14, and Sunday, July 15.
The former Boyzone star, who has also appeared on shows such as Celebrity Love Island and The Games, will be appearing at the event on Sunday to meet fans and sign autographs.
Since his Boyzone career, Shane has pursued his passion for motorsport,
and has become an accomplished driver, even driving the famous Eclipse Motorsport TVR Tuscan in the British GT Championships.
The UK Truck Show features plenty of action to keep visitors entertained, including truck drag-racing and the British Truck Racing Association Sprint Cup.
Other entertainment includes The Battle Of Britain Memorial Flight with a Lancaster Bomber and Spitfire, car-crushing monster trucks, a 300mph diesel jet car and lots more.
Other attractions include a fair and trade stands.
Hundreds of the best trucks in the UK will be on show at the event, competing in the National Show Truck Championships.
A Santa Pod spokesman said: “The UK Truck Show is an ideal introduction to the famous home of European drag-racing for any first-time Santa Pod visitors.
“Unlike drag-racing meetings, in the event of wet weather there will still be plenty of action for all ages.”
Admission is £10 for adults and £5 for children, with under fives getting in free. Discounted tickets are available in advance and car parking is free. Gates open at 9am each day. For general inquiries call 01775 723723.
