DIY sculpture will go on library display

PEOPLE in Northampton have been invited to help create a new sculpture which will be displayed in the town’s Central Library.

Simon Doughty, a Northampton sculptor, has organised creative workshops at the library which people can attend and help produce a new relief sculpture which will reflect the hidden heritage of Northamptonshire.

The sculpture will go on display in the new Discover . . . area of the library which currently houses material on Northamptonshire family history.

Mr Doughty has come up with 50 ideas of aspects of Northamptonshire heritage for people to comment on and contribute towards in the workshop sessions. The next drop-in session is on Saturday, February 25 from 10am to 4pm.
