Care group’s fun day
A FUN day in aid of MIND and a countywide carers’ association has raised more than £300.
About 80 guests enjoyed a variety of stalls, including face painting and bingo, followed by performances from street dance performers, an illusionist and singers.
Abacus Care, based in Billing Road, Northampton, organised the event in the Wootton Community and Sports Centre, in Curtlee Hill, Wootton, at the weekend.
HR officer Jo Olds said it was the first event the company, which provides healthcare staff, had organised.
She said: “Hopefully we’ll try to make this an annual event and raise money for different charities.”
The funds will be split equally between national mental health charity MIND and the Northamptonshire Carers’ Association.
