Former Northampton Town loan star Daniel Jones has signed a new deal at Wolves - and then signed for Oldham Athletic on a month's loan.
The 21-year-old, who has made 11 senior appearances for the Molineux club, has agreed a new deal until 2010.

But after spending two spells on loan at Cobblers last term, Jones was quick to accept the chance to go on loan to John Sheridan at Boundary Park.

Jones, who has struggled to secure a place in Mick McCarthy's side, said: "It did me a great deal of good last season and I just want to play as many games as I can and continue to improve.

"Ideally I still want to play left-back and I'm sure it will be a case of waiting to see if there are any clubs who are interested.

"But long term I still see my future at Wolves and that is why I'm happy to have extended my time here."
