Film hits on the Derngate stage
Lights! Camera! Action! will be paying tribute to John Williams, regarded as one of the greatest composers of all time.
The orchestra will play the iconic music from films such as Jaws, Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones and Star Wars.

Hide AdAudiences will be transported through cinematic classics such as Indiana Jones’ high energy Raiders’ March with its adventure-filled brass and sweeping strings as well as recapturing their childhood through the likes of ET, Hook, Home Alone and Harry Potter.
As one of the most Oscar-nominated men alive, Williams has provided the sound track to more than 75 blockbuster classics.
His partnership with Steven Spielberg has led to numerous outstanding films and memorable scores including the WWI epic War Horse and Schindler’s List which will feature Clio Gould on violin.
Closing the concert will be a tribute to the seminal sci-fi movie franchise Star Wars.

Hide AdThe orchestra will play music including Princess Leia’s Theme and the Imperial March.
Movie fans and classical aficionados can expect to be blown away by the concert which is the closing to Royal & Derngate’s 2014/15 classical season.
The show starts at 7.30pm and concert-goers can hear more from conductor Robert Ziegler at a pre-concert talk at 6.30pm, hosted by BBC Radio Northampton’s John Griff.
Tickets cost from £15 to £33.50. Tickets for anyone under 26-years-old cost £11 as part of the Real Discounts scheme.
Tickets for anyone under 14 and schools cost £5 each.
