Northampton Town's preparations for the forthcoming season were dealt a psychological blow with deserved 2-1 defeat at Corby Town.
Former Sixfields striker Jason Lee on target, and another former player, Lawrie Dudfield, hitting the shot which deflected off Chris Willmott and into the net.

Billy McKay pulled one back on 72 minutes to give the visitors hope going into the final chapter of the game at Rockingham Triangle.

But Corby weathered the moderate storm to complete a fully-deserved triumph.
